I draw my inspiration from the various shapes of coral polyps, and tubular coral sponges; so the focus of the piece then becomes strictly about the sculptural form. The vases are glazed in clear so that the focus will be on the various thrown pieces added together to create the composition of the vase. The emphasis is on the thrown form rather than the small details and surface treatment.
